Dear Family and Friends,

Yes, that IS A SNOWMAN,…plus even bigger SNOW CASTLES behind it!
WORD
“God does great things which we cannot understand. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’” (Job 37:5-6)
WISDOM
Shoveling snow or driving on icy roads is not a picnic, but God can be found amid ANY circumstance, natural or man-made. One CFN-Japan Bible School student used to work for the city of Sapporo getting snow off roads from 10:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. each day. Classes beginning at 8:00 A.M. were no picnic, but he made it successfully.  He stood “strong and courageous.” (Josh. 1:9)

WIT
I was afraid during a wild storm in mid-ocean at night, but the Captain of the ship told us not to worry because we were never far from land, just 2 miles, straight down.

The sky is dark…but below
The snow is swirling.

A WORK of the Lord in Japan.

Every year since 1949, Sapporo City has had a SNOW AND ICE FESTIVAL, in which huge structures, several stories high, are built (photo above) and prizes given to winning participants. This festival, every February, is one of the attractions that bring millions of people to visit Hokkaido.

CFN-Japan Bible School students, recognizing that tourists need not just a view of snow, but a view of Jesus, built a SNOW  CHAPEL (above) to spark conversation about life essentials. Amid the cold and snow, hearts melted as visitors received the message of Jesus’ love, and began a new life in Him.

Standing together with you looking to the Lord of the Harvest,
