Dear Family and Friends
,

Let’s look at our “feet” today.
WORD
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Do not draw near this place. Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground”. (Ex. 3:5)  “Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Heb. 4:16)
WISDOM
Man-made sandals or shoes help us accommodate our soft feet to hard ground. Using shoes as an illustration, God was showing Moses, and us, that no “man-made thing” could accommodate man’s sinful nature to being in the Presence of an all-Holy God! Only a God-made “accommodation”, Jesus’ Blood, could cleanse us from sin, and enable us to come BOLDLY, yet humbly, into the Presence of the Almighty, Holy God!

Let’s enter His Presence…with the splendor of the Righteousness of Jesus.

WIT
When the Judge in court told the man accused of burglary, “You’re exonerated”, the man replied, “Does that mean I have to give it back?”

WELLSPRING
“Enjoying Haiku Insight-Out”

Miraculous cures!
Combined power of 2 gifts:
God’s Word and man’s faith.

A WORK of the Lord in Japan.

The picture above show Japanese winter sandals from the 1800’s of workers in Hokkaido placed before the step-up entrance in a home. During times of persecution of Christians in Japan (1629-1856), people were asked by the Government to trample on a picture of Jesus crucified  Those who did NOT step on the picture were recognized as Christians, and then persecuted.

These “step-on pictures” called “fumie” (above)  were wooden block prints, or carved out of stone. These can be seen in Nagasaki at churches today, and testify to the faith of those who would not deny their Lord and Savior. CFN-Japan is proud of our faithful brothers and sisters, and also of its graduates in churches of Kyushu, and throughout Japan, who boldly share Jesus by their words and by their lives.

Together with you, thanking Jesus Who washed our feet,

Charles and Dianne Gyurko
