One-Liner October 26, 2007

Dear Family and Friends,

Hello again. Could we enjoy another One-Liner together?
WORD
Jesus said, “I came into this world to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Me.  Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” (John 18:38)
WISDOM
In our society “tolerance is seen as a virtue. But 2+2=5 is not tolerated by schools or by business. That’s because error does not reflect reality, and error causes damage. For example, a bridge built using the 2+2=5 formula would collapse. So also will any society that tolerates moral error, which deviates from the unchanging truths of reality, revealed in God’s Word. Truth, by nature, cannot tolerate error, or accommodate it. Jesus confronted moral error (sin) in man, by inviting us to accept His love and truth.
WIT
When told that “A preposition is a bad thing to end a sentence WITH”,
I said, “Okay, but that is something up-with-which I will not PUT.”
WHOLE IN ONE
“Enjoying Haiku Insight-Out”

Looking forsaken,
Standing alone by the fence,
Horse without a name.

A WORK of the Lord in Japan.

In the early 1900’s, Dr. William S. Clark (photo above), came from the U.S. to a Japanese University in Sapporo city to share modern advancement in Agriculture. But he shared with the students a greater Treasure, Jesus. All his students became Christians, following his famous admonition, “Boys, be ambitious for Jesus”.

His admonition is known throughout Japan, even today, BUT secularists have deleted the final two words!
Yet, Christians are unafraid to share the truth about Jesus publicly, as in the March for Jesus. (photo above). The sign in front says, “Jesus loves you”. (Yes wa anata o ai shite imasu.) This is truth. This is reality.
                      Literally:      Jesus      you      loves)

The “wa” and “o” simply identify the subject and the object.

Together with you, standing for Truth,

Charles and Dianne Gyurko
