One-Liner February 22, 2008
Dear Family and Friends, Here is my wife, Dianne, teaching Sunday School some years ago. |
WORD | “Train up a child in the way that he should go…” (Prov.22:6) |
WISDOM | Godly parenting is a skill of such vital importance that preparing for it mentally and emotionally before the actual on-the-job-training of raising children begins will give parents the confidence and the ability to raise Godly children. The Lord also uses godly grandparents, relatives, Pastors, teachers, and other church leaders to help children grow spiritually. |
WIT | Here’s an actual letter from a child to God: “Dear God, Thank you for sending me the baby brother, but what I really prayed for was a puppy”. Signed: Joyce |
WELLSPRING | “Enjoying Haiku, Insight-Out” Fanning my sick child, A wetness runs down my cheeks, Tears mingled with sweat. | Unpublished Work Copyright © 2008 by Charles Gyurko | |
A WORK of the Lord in Japan. Dianne Gyurko has a calling to be “a voice for children”. She is shown above, teaching Sunday School to CFN Church’s children on the CFNI Campus in Dallas, and below, with her interpreter, Fumie Ando-San, teaching in the Children’s Ministry and Parenting Course at CFN-Japan Bible School. She will return to the U.S. on March 8, 2008. Please join Dianne in praying for many Japanese students to enroll in CFN-J’s April ’08 through March ’09 Children’s Ministry and Parenting Course. Your prayers will help raise up students who will become godly parents and teachers, to help meet the spiritual needs of children in Japan and also throughout other nations. Standing together with you looking to the Lord, Charles and Dianne Gyurko |
