Dear Family and Friends, |
WORD | “Train up a child in the way that it should go.” (Prov. 22:5) |
WISDOM | Leaving a child to play with a huge snake (above), poisonous or not, is not a wise decision. But it is even more dangerous to put a child, unsupervised, in front of a TV or computer, because the evil influence of the ungodly world system can affect the child’s mind and spirit. God’s Word says, “If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this doctrine (of Christ), do not receive him into your house” (II John 10). When we turn on the TV, it’s like opening the front door of our homes, because the people on the TV screen are IN OUR HOUSE, influencing people, for good or for evil! Every parent has a divine call and empowerment to protect their children, and to provide them with living examples of God’s Word, by their lives. Whether parents home-school their children or not, every home IS a school. “What are you teaching today?” |
WIT | PATIENCE is something you admire in the driver behind you, but not in the one ahead of you. |
WELLSPRING | “Enjoying Haiku Insight-Out” Sun rays through the clouds, Flash light spots on the vast sea, And then play checkers. | Unpublished Work Copyright © 2010 by Charles Gyurko | |
A WORK of the Lord in Japan. Recognizing that the core of any society is the family, CFN-Japan Bible School has a course on Children’s Ministry and Parenting (CMP), which is open to all students, married or single. Shown below are Yoshihiro and Rumiko Okada-san with one of their children. Rumiko-san is an Assistant Teacher in the CMP Course. Yoshihiro-san pastors a church in Sapporo, and also teaches at CFN-Japan. Recognizing that their home IS a school, they seek to be living examples of God’s Word to their children. Please continue to pray for them, for the CMP Course, and for CFN-J Bible School. Standing together with you looking to the Lord, Charles and Dianne Gyurko |
