WISDOM | When Hurricane “Ike” slammed into the South Texas coast in September ’08, in one area it destroyed every home in sight, except ONE! (photo above) That’s because the foundation, and the construction built upon it was stable. This reminds us of the Foundation of our faith, Jesus Christ, and of our responsibility to “build ourselves up on our most holy faith” (Jude 20) through prayer, worship, studying and sharing His Word, and living a righteous life that reflects His image to others. When we do this, we have “the victory that overcomes the world” against all the stormy attacks of Satan. Like Noah, be ready, the “spiritual weather forecast” doesn’t look good. |
A WORK of the Lord in Japan. Because Japan experiences many earthquakes, there are special building codes for construction. But as it was shared on the occasion of CFN-Japan Bible School’s 25th Anniversary celebration in Sept. 2009, “Even if an earthquake would destroy the buildings (below), CFNJ would continue, because the Bible School is not a building, it is people”. The “people” of CFN-Japan (above) are the Teachers, Students, Staff, and YOU, who pray and support the work of the Holy Spirit, Who is touching a nation with the Gospel. You and others are “doing good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, and laying up for yourselves a good foundation against the time to come”.
