WORD | Jesus said, “It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Holy Spirit) will not come, but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” (John 16:7) “Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear”. (Acts 2:29) |
WISDOM | Just as in a relay race, the baton is passed from one runner to another (photo above), so also Jesus, having completed His workof salvation, and seated on His Throne in heaven, “passed the baton” to the Holy Spirit, who goes throughout the world, touching each person with the grace and power of Jesus’ shed Blood, enabling people to hear and choose to receive the Good News of salvation. The Holy Spirit HAS already touched us, for “no one can say that ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit’”. (ICor.12:3) The Holy Spirit is at work in our world today. Let us recognize Him in our midst, and receive Him joyfully. “Our heavenly Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ASK Him”. (Luke 11:13) He made it that simple! |
A WORK of the Lord in Japan The Holy Spirit is in charge of missions. It is He Who reveals the things of Jesus to us, helps us grow in Christ, moves us to teach our children about God, motivates people to witness, to start churches, Bible Schools, etc. So it is that Christ For The Nations-Japan Bible School’s goal is “to cooperate with the Holy Spirit” in what He is doing in Japan and at the school. At CFN-Japan Bible School, whether it’s a class being taught (above left), or a time of worship (above right), the Holy Spirit is at work, fulfilling Jesus’ promise, that He (the Holy Spirit) will teach us all things, and bring to our remembrance all things that Jesus said to us. (John 14:26) Please continue to pray that many more students avail themselves of opportunities at CFN-Japan. Standing together with you looking to the Lord, Charles and Dianne Gyurko |
