WORD | “A Father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation”. (Ps. 68:5) “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God….You received the Spirit of Adoption, by whom we cry out ‘Abba Father’”. (Rom. 8:15) |
WISDOM | Everyone needs a loving father. But no matter what kind of family we came from, even if we were orphans, like the Russian children above, we are never without a heavenly Father Who loves us unconditionally throughout our lives. When we seek Him, we find Him through our relationship with His Son, Jesus, and become the Father’s Adopted children, complete with an inheritance, with His Spirit in us, and a place with Him at the heavenly banquet. Each time we pray, “Our Father who art in heaven…”, we recognize this reality. |
WIT | A man was asked, “Do you know what Baroque means?”, and he answered, “That means you’re out of Monet, and you can’t make your Van Gogh”. |
A WORK of the Lord in Japan. On one of CFN-Japan Bible School’s Overseas Outreaches, the students and Staff went to the neighboring Russian island of Sakhalin, and visited an orphanage. When children heard the Good News of Jesus (below), the Word of God entered their ears (Š_3), and if they believe and confess Jesus with their mouth (†_œ) as their Savior and King (‡Z<), they too can be born again, and become holy (Š_-) in God’s sight as His adopted children. Even the Japanese characters point to this, as the word “holy” combines the words for ear, mouth, and king. As CFN-Japan International Representative, Gerald Goodall, held several of the children (above), they could probably feel the acceptance and love of their heavenly Father who directed us to minister to them. Please continue to pray for the students, Staff, and Teachers at the Bible School as they learn to share Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
